I hope everyone has had a relaxing and fun summer! I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself and express my excitement about working with all of you over the 2017-2018 school year here at Tri-Valley! I love teaching math particularly because I care deeply about each of my students. I believe that math is one of the most important subjects (shhhhhh!!), because it requires us to persevere with challenges and develop the problem solving skills required to be functioning adults in today's society. Math is like endurance training for your brain! :) Learning to think critically and focus on a problem is important for any career.
As I get to know each one of you, and begin to understand your learning styles and preferences, it is my goal to reflect upon my teaching practices and modify them as necessary to support YOUR learning. In order to become a successful teacher-student team, communication is crucial. It is my hope that technology will aid in this learning process, and allow us to work together and learn from each other. I encourage you all to explore my website by clicking the menu icon in the upper left hand corner. A peer homework forum, assignment calendar, and regents review can be found in the links under your course dropdown. All important announcements and assignments can be found in the class calendars. In addition, I have included extra help resources for your access to study from if deemed necessary. :) Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns via email. I sincerely look forward to working with each of you this school year!!
